How do I sign up?

There are two ways to sign up to Plum:

Our signup process has 2 main steps:

  • Personal details: In this step we collect your name, surname, nationality, age and address. All these are necessary for Plum to function fully.
  • Bank account link: Here we collect your online banking login details and forward them directly to Yodlee, our data partner, in order for you to link your most active current account to Plum. Note that we do not store your login details. Every bank has different login requirements and we've tried our best to make the forms as clear as possible. What happens after I sign up?

After you sign up a few things will happen:

  • A Direct Debit mandate will be installed on the account you have chosen to use with Plum. You will receive an email confirmation for this as well. The mandate needs to be approved by your bank which can take up to 5 business days.
  • Plum will fetch your transactions for up to a year in the past and analyse them.
  • After that, Plum will start saving for you every 4-5 days. Every time Plum attempts to save it will fetch your latest balance and any new transactions so it always acts on your most up-to-date financial state.

In the meantime, feel free to play around with the chat commands by typing `commands` or using the menu (3 blue lines) at the bottom left, next to the message box.

Can I sign up to Plum if I live outside of the UK?

For now we're only available for people that live in the UK, which means that you will need a UK postcode and bank account to sign up. If you wish, you can register interest for your country here.

How much does Plum cost?

There are no fees for using Plum so saving with us is free. There are no additional costs for withdrawing money either. Plum is a free product and will remain this way!
